You're Using an Outdated Version of FastDoc
Your Jira instance is currently running an older version of the FastDoc app. To access the latest features, improvements, and fixes, an upgrade is required—and must be performed by your Jira admin.
Why This Happens
FastDoc is built on Atlassian’s Forge platform. While most minor version updates are applied automatically in the background, major version updates are not auto-installed due to Forge platform limitations. These updates must be manually approved and installed by a Jira administrator.
This banner appears when your instance is running an outdated major version of FastDoc that cannot receive the latest improvements until manually upgraded.

Why You Should Upgrade
Upgrading ensures:
Access to the newest features and enhancements
Improved performance and reliability
Compatibility with recent Jira Cloud changes
Continued access to FastDoc’s evolving capabilities
We are continuously improving FastDoc based on user feedback and product innovation, so staying updated is the best way to benefit from these ongoing improvements.
How to Upgrade FastDoc
If you are a Jira admin, please follow these steps:
Go to Apps > Manage Apps in Jira
Locate FastDoc
Click Update
The process takes less than two minutes and ensures your team has access to the latest version.
If You're Not a Jira Admin
Since this banner is visible to all users on an older version, you may not have permission to update the app yourself. In that case, please reach out to your Jira admin and share the following message:
"FastDoc is asking for a manual update to access the latest features. Could you please go to Manage Apps in Jira and click the 'Update' button for FastDoc?"
